About the Contest

We’re very pleased to announce the very first Lineage® II Replay Movie Contest! Send us your most exciting Lineage® II Replay movie featuring castle or fortress siege footage. The winners will not only earn great prizes, but their Replay movies will also be used to promote one of the most unique features of Lineage® II, castle and fortress sieges! The official NCsoft® movies we create using the winning footage will give special thanks in the credits to the winning players, clan, and server!

Participants are asked to capture footage of a Lineage® II castle and/or fortress siege by using the Lineage® II Replay feature. The footage must be taken on one of the official North American or European Lineage® II servers, in the current game client (CT1), and must be in L2R format. The footage may be captured from any point during a castle and/or fortress siege, but it should show only castle and/or fortress siege-related action. Entrants are not required to be a participant in the siege in order to record the footage, but they should have permission from those taking part if they are not a member of the participating clans. All footage in the submitted Lineage® II Replay movie must be appropriate to the Lineage® II world, and adhere to the Lineage® II EULA.

Please remember, the more siege action in your Replay movie, the better! Enter your very best siege L2R for your chance to win a rare NCsoft® iPod nano, a dev team exclusive Lineage® II Kamael long sleeve t-shirt, and more!

The winners will be broken up into the following two categories: Best Action and Best Overall. One first place winner and one runner-up winner will be chosen for each category, resulting in a total of four (4) winners.

During this holiday event, monsters will drop an assortment of special holiday items, including ten unique Echo Crystals that play holiday carols, and a variety of Christmas Tree pieces.

Christmas Trees

The Santa Trainees can fashion bright and festive Christmas Trees with the right materials. The monsters roaming Aden and Elmore are rumored to have just what they need, including fir tree branches and ornaments. Gather these pieces from the monsters, and give them to one of the Santa Trainees to create your very own small Christmas Tree!

To make a small Christmas Tree, you will need the following materials:

• 4 Bead Ornaments
• 4 Star Ornaments
• 10 Fir Tree Branches
• 1 Flower Pot

If you give a Santa Trainee 10 small Christmas Trees, he can work his magic to turn them into a spectacular Special Christmas Tree! Those who rest under the branches of a Special Christmas Tree will gain increased health and magic regeneration. Special Christmas Trees can be summoned anywhere, but you will not receive the tree's magical benefits if it is summoned within a peace zone.

Santa’s Hats

The Santa Trainees are members of a small guild in the Dwarven Village led by a mysterious, yet jolly, Dwarf known only as Santa Claus. The apprentices procured a small collection from the guild's special stock of Santa's Hats, and are giving them out in the villages. They won't give out these special hats to just anyone though; you'll have to prove you've got the holiday spirit! Collect 10 small Christmas Trees and any of the Santa Trainees will exchange them for a bright red Santa’s Hat! This hat can be worn until January 29, 2008. Also, players who had a Santa's Hat from last year's winter holiday event received a special head accessory, Santa's Antlers, in their Warehouse.

Holiday Blessings

The Santa Trainees in each of the starting villages also give out holiday blessings. These buffs will help you in your hunt for both monsters and presents!

Event Schedule

The event begins on December 24, 2007 at 10:00 AM Central Time (10:00 AM GMT+1 on Teon and Franz), and ends on December 31, 2007 at 10:00 AM Central Time (10:00 AM GMT+1 on Teon and Franz). The Event Managers will remain in the villages until January 8, 2008 at 10:00 AM Central Time (10:00 AM GMT+1 on Teon and Franz).

Speak to the special Event Gatekeepers in the towns of Aden and Elmore to teleport to nearby hunting grounds for a discounted price.

Adventurers' Guides

The Adventurers' Guides are stationed in Gludin Village, the Town of Gludio, and the starting villages to assist new players.

If you are a character level 6 or above, you can acquire a special novice adventurer's weapon. Speak with the Adventurers' Guide to receive an exchange certificate for the special weapon. Speak to her again to choose your weapon, and you can exchange for a different weapon of the same level at any time.

Any character with a PK count of one or more is not eligible to receive a certificate.

At level 20, you can acquire the special traveler's weapon after completing your first class transfer. Talk to the Adventurers' Guide to obtain the exchange certificate for the traveler's weapon. Speak to her again to choose your weapon, and you can exchange for a different weapon of the same level at any time.
